At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to a concert by Thomas Rhett. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man," and at that moment, I attempted to slow dance with the girl I was with, wanting to create a sweet and romantic atmosphere.
Smith states that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.
After sharing a humorous moment, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett when he realized he had the opportunity to have the final laugh in that situation.
