Conner Smith, a new artist, has just released his first album called "Smoky Mountains". One of the songs on the album, titled "Creek Will Rise", is quickly gaining popularity on the country music charts.
Recently, the up-and-coming celebrity was an average teenager who attended a concert by one of his beloved country music performers.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available on-demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a lasting impression on him.
At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to see a Thomas Rhett concert. The venue was Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed "Die a Happy Man," and I attempted to slow dance with the girl, aiming to create a sweet and romantic moment.
Smith recounts that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.
After we have a good laugh, he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett. At that time, he thought to himself, "I suppose I had the satisfaction of having the final laugh in that situation."
Smith has recounted this story on stage multiple times, and it is well-liked by the audience.
Let's discuss the ultimate way to seek retribution and validation during a breakup.
