Conner Smith has recently released his first album called Smoky Mountains. One of the tracks from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise", is quickly gaining popularity and climbing up the country music charts.
However, not too much time has passed since the up-and-coming talent was an average sixteen-year-old who attended a concert by one of his beloved country music artists.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016, which had a profound effect on him.
At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to a Thomas Rhett concert. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated in the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his popular song "Die a Happy Man," and we attempted to slow dance together, aiming to create a sweet and romantic atmosphere.
Smith explains that the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.
After sharing a moment of laughter, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. "After that incident, about four years later, I was on tour with Rhett and I couldn't help but think, 'I guess I ended up having the final victory,' if you understand what I mean," he reminisces.
Smith has recounted this anecdote during his performances on multiple occasions, and it is well-received by the audience.
Let's discuss the ultimate satisfaction and justification in a relationship ending.
