Conner Smith has recently released his debut album called "Smoky Mountains". One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise", is gaining popularity and climbing the country music charts.
However, not too distant in the past, the emerging talent was simply an average sixteen-year-old who attended a live performance of one of his beloved country music artists.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, which can be accessed on demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016, emphasizing the significant impact it had on him.
At the age of 16, I once went on a date with a girl to watch a concert by Thomas Rhett. The venue was Ascend Amphitheater and we were seated on the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed "Die a Happy Man" and at that moment, I attempted to slow dance with the girl I was with, aiming to create a sweet and romantic atmosphere.
According to Smith, the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.
After sharing a moment of laughter, he proceeds with the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett and realized that he had the satisfaction of having the final say in that situation.
Smith has recounted this anecdote multiple times during his performances, and it has become a beloved choice among the audience.
Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and satisfaction in a romantic separation.
