At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to see Thomas Rhett perform live. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated in the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett played his popular song "Die a Happy Man," and I attempted to slow dance with the girl, aiming to create a romantic and affectionate atmosphere.
Smith mentioned that the following day, his partner ended their relationship with him.
After sharing a moment of laughter, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on a tour with Rhett, and at that point, he felt like he had ultimately come out on top and had the satisfaction of having the final say in the situation.
