Conner Smith has released his first album called "Smoky Mountains" which is now available. One of his songs, "Creek Will Rise," is rapidly gaining popularity and climbing up the country music charts.
However, not too far in the past, the up-and-coming talent was just an average teenager of 16 years old, attending a concert of one of his beloved country music performers.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, which is available on demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016, which left a significant impression on him.
At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to watch a Thomas Rhett concert. I can vividly recall that the show took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn area. Thomas Rhett performed his popular song "Die a Happy Man," and I attempted to slow dance with the girl, aiming to create a romantic and affectionate atmosphere.
Smith mentions that the following day, his partner ended their relationship with him.
After sharing a moment of laughter, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. "After about 4 years, I found myself on tour with Rhett. At that moment, I realized that I had ultimately come out on top and had the final victory," he reminisces.
Smith has shared this story with the audience on multiple occasions and it has become a beloved choice amongst the listeners.
Let's discuss the ultimate satisfaction and validation one can experience after a breakup.
