Conner Smith, a new artist in the country music scene, has released his first album titled "Smoky Mountains." One of the songs from the album, called "Creek Will Rise," is gaining popularity and quickly climbing the country music charts.
However, not too far in the past, the up-and-coming talent was simply an average sixteen-year-old, attending a concert of one of his beloved country music performers.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a significant impression on him.
At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to see Thomas Rhett perform at Ascend Amphitheater. We were seated in the lawn area during the show. I vividly recall him playing his hit song "Die a Happy Man." During that moment, I attempted to slow dance with her, aiming to create a romantic and affectionate atmosphere.
Smith mentions that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.
After sharing a moment of laughter, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. "About four years later, I find myself on tour with Rhett," he says, reflecting on the situation. "At that point, I realized that I had ultimately emerged as the winner in that particular situation," he explains.
Smith has shared this story with the audience on multiple occasions, and it has become a beloved favorite among them.
Let's discuss the ultimate satisfaction and validation one can experience during a breakup.
