Conner Smith has recently released his first album called "Smoky Mountains." One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise," is gaining popularity and climbing the country music charts.
However, not too far back in time, the up-and-coming celebrity was just an average sixteen-year-old attending a live performance by one of his beloved country music artists.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, which is available on demand, Smith shares a personal experience about going to a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that had a significant influence on him.
At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to see a concert by Thomas Rhett. The show took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated in the lawn area. During the performance, Thomas Rhett played his song "Die a Happy Man," and we both attempted to slow dance together. I was hoping to create a romantic and affectionate atmosphere during that moment.
Smith mentions that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.
After sharing a moment of laughter, he proceeds to tell the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett and he jokingly thinks to himself, "I suppose I had the final laugh in that situation, don't you think?"
Smith has shared this story on stage multiple times and it is well-received by the audience.
Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and validation in a relationship ending.
