Conner Smith has recently released his first album called Smoky Mountains. One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise," is gaining popularity and rapidly climbing up the charts in the country music genre.
However, it hasn't been too distant in the past when the emerging talent was simply an average sixteen-year-old individual, attending a concert of one of his beloved country music performers.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a significant impression on him.
At the age of 16, I had a memorable experience of going on a date with a girl to a Thomas Rhett concert. The show took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn area. I distinctly recall Thomas Rhett performing his song "Die a Happy Man," and during that moment, I attempted to slow dance with the girl and create a sweet atmosphere.
Smith mentions that the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.
After a moment of laughter, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. "After about 4 years, I ended up going on tour with Rhett. It was a moment where I felt like I had ultimately come out on top," he remembers, expressing a sense of satisfaction.
Smith has shared this story on stage multiple times, and it is well-loved by the audience.
Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and validation following a breakup.
