Thomas Rhett’s Concert Helps Rising Star Conner Smith Heal a Broken Heart

Conner Smith has recently released his first album, titled "Smoky Mountains." One of the songs from the album, called "Creek Will Rise," is gaining popularity and climbing the country music charts.

Not too far in the past, this emerging talent was just an average 16-year-old who attended a concert by one of his beloved country music artists.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience attending a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016, which left a significant impression on him.

At the age of 16, I had a date with a girl to attend a Thomas Rhett concert. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were situated in the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man," and I attempted to slow dance with the girl, aiming to create a romantic atmosphere.

Smith shares that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.

We have a moment of laughter together, and then he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. "After around 4 years, I'm on tour with Rhett, and I realize that I had the final victory in that situation," he remembers.

Smith has recounted this story multiple times during his performances, and it is greatly appreciated by the audience.
