Conner Smith has recently released his first album, titled Smoky Mountains. One of his songs, called "Creek Will Rise," is rapidly gaining popularity on the country music charts.
Not too far in the past, the up-and-coming celebrity was an average teenager who attended a concert of one of his beloved country music performers.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available on demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that greatly affected him.
At the age of 16, I had a date with a girl at a Thomas Rhett concert. I can vividly recall that it took place at Ascend Amphitheater, where we were seated on the lawn. Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man," and during that moment, I attempted to slow dance with the girl, aiming to create a sweet and romantic atmosphere.
According to Smith, the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.
After sharing a moment of amusement, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. "About 4 years later, I find myself on tour with Rhett, and it's like I finally had the chance to have the final laugh," he reminisces.
Smith has shared this story with the audience on several occasions, and it has become quite popular among them.
Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and validation in a relationship ending.
