At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to a concert by Thomas Rhett. The show took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were sitting on the lawn area. I distinctly remember when he performed his song "Die a Happy Man." At that moment, I wanted to slow dance with her and create a sweet and romantic atmosphere.

Smith mentions that the following day, his partner ended the relationship with him.

After sharing a moment of laughter, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. He mentions, "About 4 years later, I found myself on tour with Rhett, and I couldn't help but think that I had ultimately come out on top in that situation, if you know what I mean."
