Conner Smith has released his first album called "Smoky Mountains" which is currently available. One of his songs, titled "Creek Will Rise," is rapidly gaining popularity and climbing the charts in the country music genre.
However, not too far in the past, the up-and-coming talent was simply an average 16-year-old attending a concert by one of his beloved country music artists.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares a personal experience about going to a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that had a significant effect on him.
At the age of 16, I had a date with a girl and we attended a Thomas Rhett concert together. The venue was Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his song 'Die a Happy Man,' and I attempted to slow dance with the girl, trying to create a romantic atmosphere.
Smith further explains that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.
We have a moment of laughter, and then he proceeds to recount the story. He mentions that about 4 years later, he was touring with Rhett, and he jokingly remarks that he finally had the chance to have the last laugh in that situation.
Smith has recounted this story on several occasions during his performances, and it has become a beloved choice among the audience.
Let's discuss the ultimate satisfaction and sense of justice in a relationship ending.
