Conner Smith has recently released his first album called "Smoky Mountains". One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise", is gaining popularity and quickly climbing the country music charts.
Not too far in the past, this up-and-coming celebrity was an average sixteen-year-old who attended a concert of one of his beloved country music performers.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a lasting impression on him.
At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to a concert by Thomas Rhett. The show took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated in the lawn area. During the concert, Thomas Rhett performed his popular song "Die a Happy Man," and I wanted to create a romantic moment by attempting to slow dance with the girl I was with, trying to be affectionate and sweet.
Smith mentions that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.
After sharing a funny moment, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett and realized that he had ultimately triumphed in that situation.
Smith has recounted this anecdote multiple times during his performances and it is greatly enjoyed by the audience.
Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and validation in a romantic breakup.
