Thomas Rhett’s Concert Provides Unexpected Payback for Rising Country Star Conner Smith

  • by

Conner Smith has recently released his first album, titled "Smoky Mountains". One of the songs from the album, called "Creek Will Rise", is gaining popularity and climbing up the country music charts.

Not too far in the past, the up-and-coming talent was an ordinary sixteen-year-old who attended a concert by one of his beloved country music artists.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a lasting impression on him.

At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to a Thomas Rhett concert. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn area. During the performance, Thomas Rhett played his song "Die a Happy Man," and I attempted to slow dance with my date in a sweet manner.

Smith shares that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.

After a moment of laughter, he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett and had a realization that made him feel triumphant. It was a moment of satisfaction for him, indicating that he had ultimately emerged as the victor in that situation.

Smith has shared this story during his performances multiple times, and it's always well-received by the audience.

Let's discuss the ultimate satisfaction and validation in a relationship ending.
