Conner Smith has released his first album called "Smoky Mountains" which is currently available. One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise," is quickly gaining popularity and climbing up the country music charts.

Not too far in the past, the emerging talent was simply an average teenager of sixteen years old, attending a live performance by one of his beloved country music musicians.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available on demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a lasting impression on him.

At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to a Thomas Rhett concert. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated in the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man," and at that moment, I wanted to slow dance with the girl and create a sweet and romantic atmosphere.

Smith shares that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.

After sharing a moment of laughter, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett and realized that he had ultimately triumphed in that situation.

Smith has recounted this anecdote multiple times during his performances, and it has become a beloved story among the audience.
