The 2024 People's Choice Awards will be held in February. This time, the awards show has introduced two new categories related to country music to its extensive list of nominations.
Following a triumphant introduction of the People's Choice Country Awards expansion in 2023, the primary event has introduced two additional accolades: Male Country Artist of the Year and Female Country Artist of the Year. Consequently, the overall number of categories for the show has now reached 45.
Previously, the show has showcased artists belonging to different genres such as pop, hip-hop, and R&B. Additionally, the PCAs have recently declared that they will also acknowledge and honor male and female Latin artists in the year 2024.
The list of nominees for the Male Country Artist category consists of Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson, Hardy, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, and Zach Bryan. On the other hand, the nominees for the Female Country Artist category include Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood, Gabby Barrett, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney, and Shania Twain.
Audiences have the opportunity to cast their votes for their preferred artist through an online platform until the day of the event. The 2024 People's Choice Awards have been scheduled to take place on February 18th at 8PM ET, airing on NBC.
