The 2024 People's Choice Awards will take place in February. This time, the awards show has included two new country categories in its long list of nominations.
In 2023, the People's Choice Country Awards expanded and introduced two new awards, namely Male Country Artist of the Year and Female Country Artist of the Year. As a result, the show now has a total of 45 different categories.
Previously, the show has given special attention to artists from different genres such as pop, hip-hop, and R&B. Additionally, the PCAs have recently revealed that they will also acknowledge and celebrate Male and Female Latin Artists in the year 2024.
The Male Country Artist category has announced its inaugural nominees, consisting of talented musicians such as Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson, Hardy, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, and Zach Bryan. On the other hand, the Female Country Artist category comprises Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood, Gabby Barrett, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney, and Shania Twain, all of whom are vying for the prestigious award.
Viewers have the opportunity to cast their votes for their preferred artist via an online platform leading up to the day of the event. The People's Choice Awards for the year 2024 are set to take place on February 18th, airing on NBC at 8 PM ET.
