The 2024 People's Choice Awards will be held in February. For this year's show, they have introduced two new categories focused on country music to their extensive list of nominations.
Following the well-received introduction of the People's Choice Country Awards expansion in 2023, the original show has introduced two additional awards: one for the Male Country Artist of the Year and another for the Female Country Artist of the Year. As a result, the show now boasts a total of 45 categories.
Previously, the show has focused on showcasing artists from different genres such as pop, hip-hop, and R&B. The PCAs have also recently revealed their plans to acknowledge and honor Male and Female Latin Artists in the upcoming year of 2024.
The list of nominees for Male Country Artist includes Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson, Hardy, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, and Zach Bryan. Meanwhile, the nominees for Female Country Artist are Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood, Gabby Barrett, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney, and Shania Twain.
Viewers have the opportunity to cast their vote for their preferred artist through an online platform until the day of the event. The 2024 People's Choice Awards will take place on February 18th at 8PM ET, and will be broadcasted on NBC.
