There are 14 country music stars who should be given more respect, one of them being Dwight Yoakam. However, we recently discovered another iconic country artist whose achievements have also been overlooked.
Yoakam has not performed well at the CMA, ACM, and Grammy Awards, with a batting average of .081 (3-37). However, despite his poor performance, he has managed to secure three wins. The Bellamy Brothers would certainly wish for the same level of luck.
These two individuals have an astonishing record of 0-29 at the three main music award shows. No other country duo has received as many nominations in this category, yet they have never managed to win. David and Howard Bellamy have been so consistently overlooked that they were not even taken into consideration when the Taste of Country team compiled a list of deserving artists who are not in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

We will discuss neglected modern country singers at a different time.
This list includes two extremely talented female soloists and three well-known groups. Billy Ray Cyrus is also included, despite the fact that it may cause some disagreement. However, the evidence clearly shows that he and his 13 friends deserve more respect.
