  • by

Conner Smith, a new artist, has released his first album titled "Smoky Mountains." One of the tracks on the album, "Creek Will Rise," is gaining popularity and climbing the ranks on the country music charts.

Not too far in the past, the up-and-coming talent was an ordinary sixteen-year-old who attended a concert by one of his beloved country music artists.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available on demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016, which had a significant effect on him.

At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to a Thomas Rhett concert. The show took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn area. During the performance, Thomas Rhett played his popular song "Die a Happy Man," and I wanted to create a romantic moment by attempting to slow dance with my date. I wanted to be affectionate and sweet towards her.

According to Smith, the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.

After a moment of laughter, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett, and at that point, he realized that he had ultimately emerged victorious in the situation they were discussing.

Smith has shared this story with the audience several times during his performances, and it has become quite popular among them.

Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and validation in a romantic separation.
