Thomas Rhett’s Concert Helped Conner Smith Heal a Broken Heart

  • by

Conner Smith has recently released his first album called "Smoky Mountains". One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise", is gaining popularity and climbing up the country music charts.

Not too far back in time, the talented young individual was simply an ordinary 16-year-old attending a concert by one of his beloved country music artists.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available for streaming, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience attending a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a lasting impression on him.

At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to watch a Thomas Rhett concert. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we had seats on the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man," and at that moment, I attempted to slow dance with the girl, aiming to create a romantic atmosphere.

Smith shares that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.

After sharing a moment of laughter, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett and he jokingly says, "I suppose I had the final laugh in that situation, if you know what I mean."

Smith has shared this story with the audience during his performances on multiple occasions, and it is always well-received by the listeners.

Let's discuss the ultimate satisfaction and validation in a situation where a relationship ends.
