Conner Smith has recently released his first album called "Smoky Mountains". One of his songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise", is gaining popularity and climbing the country music charts.
Not too distant in the past, the up-and-coming talent was an average teenager of sixteen years, attending a live performance by one of his beloved country music artists.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, which is available on demand, Smith shares a personal experience about going to a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that had a significant effect on him.
At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to see a Thomas Rhett concert. It took place at Ascend Amphitheater and we were seated on the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man," and I attempted to slow dance with the girl to create a romantic atmosphere.
Smith shares that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.
After sharing a moment of laughter, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on a tour with Rhett, and at that moment, he realized that he had come out on top, which brought him satisfaction.
Smith has recounted this story multiple times during live performances, and it has become a beloved choice among the audience.
Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and validation in a relationship ending.
