Thomas Rhett played a role in assisting Conner Smith in moving on from a past romantic relationship. Smith has recently released his first album, titled "Smoky Mountains," which includes a popular song called "Creek Will Rise" that is rapidly climbing the charts in the country music genre.
However, not too far in the past, the emerging talent was simply an average sixteen-year-old individual who attended a live performance by one of his beloved country music musicians.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available on demand, Smith shares a personal experience from 2016 when he attended a Thomas Rhett concert that had a significant effect on him.
At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to see a Thomas Rhett concert. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn. During the performance, Thomas Rhett played his popular song "Die a Happy Man." At that moment, I attempted to slow dance with the girl and be affectionate.
Smith mentions that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.
After sharing a laugh, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on a tour with Rhett, and at that moment, he realized that he had ultimately emerged victorious in that situation.
Smith has recounted this anecdote multiple times during his performances, and it has become a beloved tale among the audience.
Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and satisfaction in a romantic separation.
