Thomas Rhett’s Concert Provides Unexpected Payback for Rising Country Star Conner Smith

  • by

Conner Smith has recently released his first album titled "Smoky Mountains". One of the songs from the album, called "Creek Will Rise", is rapidly gaining popularity and climbing up the charts in the country music genre.

However, not too far in the past, the up-and-coming celebrity was simply an average sixteen-year-old attending a concert of one of his beloved country music artists.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available for streaming, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016, which had a significant effect on him.

At the age of 16, I had a memorable experience going on a date with a girl to see a Thomas Rhett concert. The venue was Ascend Amphitheater, and we had seats on the lawn section. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed "Die a Happy Man," and at that moment, I attempted to slow dance with the girl, wanting to create a romantic atmosphere.

Smith further mentions that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.

After having a good laugh together, he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett, and at that moment, he couldn't help but feel like he had triumphed in the end.

Smith has recounted this anecdote on several occasions during his performances, and it has consistently been well-received by the audience.

Let's discuss the ultimate revenge and validation in a relationship ending.
