There are 14 country stars who we believe should be given more respect. While Dwight Yoakam was often considered the most disrespected singer in country music, we recently discovered another legendary country act whose accomplishments deserve recognition.
At the CMA, ACM, and Grammy Awards, Yoakam has a batting average of .081 (3-37), but he has managed to secure three victories. The Bellamy Brothers would consider themselves fortunate if they achieved the same level of success.
David and Howard Bellamy have an astonishing record of 0-29 at the three main music award shows. No other country duo has received more nominations in their category, and yet they have never managed to win. The Bellamy Brothers, as they are known, are so consistently overlooked that they were not even taken into consideration when compiling a list of artists who deserve recognition in the Country Music Hall of Fame by the Taste of Country team.
