There are 14 country stars who should be given more respect, and one of them is Dwight Yoakam. However, we recently discovered that there is another legendary country act whose accomplishments have also been overlooked and not given the recognition they deserve.
Yoakam has had very limited success at the CMA, ACM, and Grammy Awards, with only a batting average of .081 (3 out of 37). Despite this, he has managed to win three times. The Bellamy Brothers would definitely envy his achievements!
David and Howard Bellamy have an astonishing record of 0-29 at the three major shows. They have received the highest number of nominations in the duo category among all country pairs, yet they have never been able to secure a win. The Bellamy brothers have been so consistently overlooked that they were not even taken into consideration when the Taste of Country team compiled a list of deserving artists who are not in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

The following list includes 14 artists, all of whom are considered legacy acts and are deserving of more respect.
We will set aside the discussion of contemporary country singers who are not given the respect they deserve for another time.
Included in this list are two incredibly talented female artists who have achieved legendary status, as well as three well-known and influential music groups. Additionally, the inclusion of Billy Ray Cyrus may spark some debate, but the evidence supports the notion that he and his group of 13 individuals deserve more recognition and respect.
