Lainey Wilson's recent collaboration with the Black Crowes happened in a very natural way. Chris Robinson, a member of the band, came across the country singer by coincidence and discovered that she was a fan.
On the Black Crowes' latest album, "Happiness Bastards," there is a song called "Wilted Rose." According to Robinson, he had the opportunity to meet Wilson at a country awards show while walking the red carpet. The Black Crowes also had the chance to perform "She Talks to Angels" with Darius Rucker at the 2023 CMT Music Awards.
According to Robinson, she was a very kind and endearing person who expressed her admiration for the Black Crowes, saying, "I can't believe it, I've been a fan since I was a child."
During a break between interviews, there was a brief moment where the producer, Jay Joyce, asked her to do something, and she willingly complied.
Joyce was also responsible for producing the last two albums of Wilson. "Wilted Rose" is the first instance where the Black Crowes collaborated with a different vocalist for an album.

Wilson's collaboration with another artist in this duet contributes to her growing recognition as one of the most versatile and influential female artists in the country music genre. Additionally, Wilson contributed her vocals to a rendition of the Rolling Stones' classic "You Can't Always Get What You Want" for the Stone Cold Country tribute album dedicated to the Stones. Furthermore, she showcased her acting abilities in the popular Western drama series, Yellowstone.
During an interview, Robinson reflects on a time when he was in Los Angeles. At that point, the main part of the record had already been completed, and they listened to it and were amazed. They recognized the immense talent of the individual being discussed and acknowledged that they were currently experiencing a moment of stardom. Robinson expressed genuine happiness for this person and believed that they would continue to achieve great things, as they were already doing so.
It is believed that Wilson is currently working on her upcoming studio album, although there is no information or songs that have been revealed from those recording sessions. Her most recent single is called "Wildflowers and Wild Horses" and it is featured on the album Bell Bottom Country.
