Lainey Wilson's recent collaboration with the Black Crowes happened in a very natural and spontaneous way. According to Chris Robinson, he coincidentally crossed paths with the country singer and discovered that she was a fan of their music.
On the Black Crowes' latest album, "Happiness Bastards," there is a song titled "Wilted Rose." In an interview with Loudwire Nights, Robinson mentions that he had a chance meeting with Wilson at a country awards show. At the 2023 CMT Music Awards, the Black Crowes teamed up with Darius Rucker to perform "She Talks to Angels."
Robinson remembers her as being very kind and affectionate. She expressed her admiration by saying, "I can't believe it, but I've been a fan of the Black Crowes since I was a child."
During a break in interviews, Producer Jay Joyce approached her and made a request, to which she simply complied without hesitation.
Joyce was also responsible for producing Wilson's previous two albums. "Wilted Rose" represents the Black Crowes' inaugural experience collaborating with a different vocalist for an album.

There is an assumption that Wilson is currently in the process of creating her next album, however, no information or songs from those recording sessions have been released to the public. "Wildflowers and Wild Horses" from the album Bell Bottom Country is her latest single.
