The collaboration between Lainey Wilson and the Black Crowes happened in a very natural way. According to Chris Robinson, he happened to meet Lainey Wilson by coincidence and discovered that she was a fan of the band.

According to Robinson, he met Wilson at a country awards show while being interviewed by Loudwire Nights. In another exciting event, the Black Crowes teamed up with Darius Rucker to perform "She Talks to Angels" at the 2023 CMT Music Awards.
Robinson reminisces about a girl who was incredibly kind and expressed her admiration for the Black Crowes by saying, "I can't believe it, I have been a fan of the Black Crowes since I was a child."
During a break in interviews, there was a brief moment where the producer, Jay Joyce, asked her to do something, and she willingly complied.
Joyce was responsible for producing Wilson's most recent two albums. The album titled "Wilted Rose" is significant because it is the first instance where the Black Crowes collaborated with a different singer on an album.

During an interview, Robinson mentioned that he was in Los Angeles when he heard the song. It was a time after the main part of the record. He expressed his astonishment and admiration, saying, "We were like, 'Wow!'". Robinson acknowledged the immense talent of the artist and acknowledged that she was currently experiencing her moment of stardom. He also expressed his happiness for her and believed that she would continue to achieve great things, as she was already doing so.
It is believed that Wilson is currently working on her upcoming studio album, however, there is no information or songs that have been released from those recording sessions. Her latest single, "Wildflowers and Wild Horses," can be found on her album Bell Bottom Country.
