Lainey Wilson's recent collaboration with the Black Crowes happened in a very natural way. Chris Robinson, the lead singer of the Black Crowes, crossed paths with Lainey Wilson and discovered that she was a fan of their music.
Search for a track titled "Wilted Rose" on the latest album "Happiness Bastards" by the Black Crowes. In an interview with Loudwire Nights, Robinson reveals that he first met Wilson while attending a country awards show. At the 2023 CMT Music Awards, the Black Crowes collaborated with Darius Rucker for a live rendition of "She Talks to Angels."
Robinson remembers her as a very kind and affectionate person who expressed her admiration for the Black Crowes by saying, "Wow, I can't believe it! I've been a fan of the Black Crowes since I was a child."
During a brief break between interviews and other activities, the producer, Jay Joyce, approached her and made a request, to which she willingly complied.
Joyce was also involved in the production of Wilson's previous two albums. "Wilted Rose" represents a significant milestone for the Black Crowes as it is the first time they have collaborated with a different vocalist on an album.

Wilson has solidified her position as one of the most vibrant and versatile female artists in the country music industry through this collaboration. Over the past three years, she has collaborated with a diverse range of artists including Dolly Parton, Jelly Roll, Cole Swindell, Chase Rice, Hardy, Lauren Alaina, and Darren Criss. Additionally, she contributed a rendition of the Rolling Stones' classic "You Can't Always Get What You Want" for the Stone Cold Country tribute album dedicated to the Stones. In addition to her musical endeavors, Wilson has also showcased her acting skills in the Western drama series, Yellowstone.
During an interview, Robinson reminisces about being in Los Angeles after the majority of the recording had taken place. They were amazed when they first heard the music and thought, "Wow." They acknowledge the immense talent of the artist and recognize that she is currently experiencing a period of stardom. They express their joy for her success and believe that she will continue to achieve great things, as she is already doing so.
It is believed that Wilson is currently working on her upcoming studio album, however, no information or songs from those recording sessions have been released to the public. "Wildflowers and Wild Horses" from the album Bell Bottom Country is her latest single.
