Presently, you are at this location. Lynx has made an announcement regarding their new product called Hilo 2, which is a converter and interface

Lynx Studio Technology has recently revealed their plans to release Hilo 2, a new audio converter/interface that has two inputs and six outputs. This upgraded version of Hilo is said to have several enhancements compared to its previous model, as claimed by Lynx.

According to Bob Bauman, who is both the co-owner and chief hardware engineer at Lynx, the release of the original Hilo in 2012 had a significant influence on various fields in professional audio, including mixing, mastering, location sound, and other related disciplines.

Notable enhancements in the device include increased clarity in the inputs and outputs of the device, as the reduction in distortion and noise allows for improved transparency. The sample clock now incorporates SynchroLock 2, which facilitates quicker synchronization and accurate alignment with external clocks, boasting an absolute accuracy of 7ppm. The Hilo 2 also features an upgraded LCD with a capacitive touch panel, offering better brightness, uniform viewing from different angles, and improved touch sensitivity, according to Lynx.

According to David Hoatson, the co-owner and chief software engineer, Hilo 2 has made significant advancements in both audio performance and functionality compared to the original Hilo. The improved audio conversion capabilities will be highly valued by audio engineers, recordists, and music producers.

Hilo 2 will also allow users to upgrade to sample rates higher than 192kHz and DSD for both input and output. Additionally, it will provide users with the option to choose between linear and minimum phase filters for its line input and output.

The Hilo 2 is expected to be available at Lynx dealers in the second quarter of 2024. However, information regarding its pricing has not been disclosed yet.

Lynx Studio Technology will be showcasing their products at NAMM 2024 and can be located at booth number 15504.
