Sound Radix has released Auto-Align 2.1, an innovative audio alignment tool that aims to enhance the audio production process by offering improved precision and productivity.
Auto-Align 2.1 enhances audio quality by removing comb-filtering, reducing the blurring of transients, and improving the phase alignment of each microphone. This ensures that the complete and clear sound captured by the microphones is accurately reproduced. The latest version of Auto-Align also improves efficiency by streamlining the alignment process, introducing a new module for spectral phase correction, refining the algorithm, and providing a more user-friendly interface.
The updated Auto-Align software aims to make your work process more efficient. By simply clicking a button, Auto-Align 2.1 can align all your microphones in one go. This innovative feature saves you time and guarantees that your audio is accurately synchronized and in phase, which leads to enhanced clarity, dimension, and stereo sound.
The Spectral Phase Optimization feature in Auto-Align 2.1 fixes phase shifts that can happen within certain frequency ranges, resulting in an audio signal that sounds more cohesive and full. When filters are used during recording, different frequency bands may encounter different phase shifts, which can cause the sound to become distorted and unclear. Spectral Phase Optimization detects and adjusts these phase shifts automatically, guaranteeing that your audio is accurately aligned and sounding its finest.
The updated version of the software has enhancements in its core algorithm, the option to turn on or off group time alignment, the ability to optimize spectral phase at the track level, four pre-set locations for conveniently comparing different settings, and the capability to export and import alignment settings to make workflow more efficient across multiple projects.
Industry professionals have already given high praise to Auto-Align 2.1. Greg Wurth, a producer/mixer/engineer who has won multiple platinum awards, is amazed by what Auto-Align 2 can do for drums, bass, and guitar. Similarly, Darrell Thorp, a 10-time GRAMMY-winning engineer, includes Auto-Align 2 in his drum plug-in chain for every new mix or song he works on.
The latest version of Auto-Align, version 2.1, can be purchased for $199. It can be used on macOS 10.9 or newer, with either a 64-bit Intel CPU or Apple Silicon. For Windows users, a 64-bit Intel or AMD CPU and Windows 10 or newer is required. Auto-Align 2.1 supports various plug-in formats, including AAX, Audio Unit, VST3, and ARA2.
