I initially thought that these banned foods would be unfamiliar to me, but it turns out that they are everyday items that many Americans have likely enjoyed at some point.
Gatorade is
As per information from the Market Realist website, some flavors of the well-known sports drink Gatorade consist of Yellow 5 and Yellow 6 dyes. These dyes are prohibited for consumption by children in Norway and Austria. In the other countries of the European Union (E.U.), these specific Gatorade varieties are required to have a warning label.

Market Realist states that the reason why this guilty pleasure that Americans enjoy is prohibited in the UK and other British Commonwealth countries is due to the presence of yellow dyes.
Quick and easy mashed potatoes
Although these mashed potatoes may not provide the same level of comfort as the traditional ones, they can still serve their purpose. However, a preservative known as BHA prevents them from being sold in the UK and Japan, as reported by the Eat This website.

Frosted Flakes are considered excellent, but they are not allowed in the UK, Europe, and Japan due to being banned, as noted by Market Realist. The reason behind this ban is the presence of a preservative called BHT, which is commonly used in cosmetics and rubber items.

Eating snacks that are considered guilty pleasures is generally alright, except for Swiss Cake Rolls. Depending on the European Union country, they are either prohibited or carry strong warnings. The main concern, as stated by Market Realist, is that these cake rolls contain food dyes that are considered harmful to children, such as Yellow 5 and Red 40. Additionally, the use of palm oil in Swiss Cake Rolls is another factor leading to restrictions or even a complete ban.
Skittles are
Austria, Sweden, and Norway have prohibited the sale of Skittles due to the presence of Yellow 5 and Yellow 6 dye, as mentioned before. However, in the other countries of the European Union, Skittles are allowed to be sold but must display a warning
Pork produced in the United States
The United States commonly employs the use of growth hormones called ractopamine in the farming practices of raising pigs for meat. Surprisingly, the US is one of the few countries worldwide that still permits the use of these hormones, as reported by Eat This.
