I initially thought that these banned foods would be unfamiliar to me, but it turns out they are everyday items that most people in the U.S. are familiar with and have probably eaten at some point.
Gatorade is
As stated on the Market Realist website, some variations of the well-liked sports beverage, Gatorade, include Yellow 5 and Yellow 6 dyes. These dyes are prohibited for consumption by children in Norway and Austria. In the other countries of the European Union (E.U.), these specific types of Gatorade are required to have a warning label.

According to Market Realist, the reason why this guilty pleasure that Americans enjoy is prohibited in the UK and other British Commonwealth countries is due to the presence of yellow dyes.

These treats are either banned or come with strong warnings in certain European Union countries. Another factor contributing to the restrictions or outright prohibition is the use of palm oil.
