There are 14 country music artists who should be given more recognition for their talent. While Dwight Yoakam was often considered to be the most underappreciated singer in the genre, we recently discovered another iconic country act with an impressive resume.
Yoakam has not had much success at the CMA, ACM, and Grammy Awards, with a batting average of .081 (3-37), but surprisingly, he still managed to win three times. The Bellamy Brothers, on the other hand, have not been as fortunate in their award endeavors.
David and Howard Bellamy, a duo in the country music industry, have an astonishing record of 0-29 at the three most significant awards shows. It is remarkable because no other country duo has received as many nominations as them in this category, yet they have never managed to secure a win. Their talent and achievements have been so disregarded that even when compiling a list of deserving artists who have not been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Taste of Country team did not include them.
