Sound Radix has released Auto-Align 2.1, an advanced tool for aligning audio. This updated version promises to improve the precision and effectiveness of the audio production process.

Auto-Align 2.1 enhances the sound quality captured by microphones by eliminating comb-filtering, reducing transient smearing, and optimizing the phase of each microphone. This new version improves the alignment process by introducing a faster workflow, a new module for spectral phase correction, an improved algorithm, and a user-friendly interface.

The updated version of Auto-Align aims to make your work process more efficient. With a simple click, Auto-Align 2.1 can align all your microphones in one go. This innovative feature helps save your precious time and guarantees that your audio is accurately aligned in terms of timing and phase, leading to enhanced clarity, size, and stereo image.

The Spectral Phase Optimization feature in Auto-Align 2.1 is designed to fix phase shifts that may occur within certain frequency ranges, improving the overall quality and clarity of the audio signal. Sometimes, when using filters while recording, different frequency bands can have different phase shifts, which can result in a distorted and unclear sound. The Spectral Phase Optimization feature identifies and corrects these phase shifts automatically, ensuring that your audio is perfectly aligned and sounds the best it can be.

The updated version also comes with enhancements to its core algorithm, the option to enable or disable group time alignment, the ability to optimize spectral phase on a track basis, four preset locations for conveniently comparing different settings, and the feature to export/import alignment settings for a smoother workflow across various projects.

Auto-Align 2.1 has received positive feedback from experts in the industry. Greg Wurth, a renowned producer, mixer, and engineer who has won multiple platinum awards, expressed his astonishment at the results Auto-Align 2 achieves on drums, bass, or guitar. Similarly, Darrell Thorp, a highly acclaimed engineer who has won 10 GRAMMY awards, includes Auto-Align 2 in his drum plug-in chain for every new mix or song he works on.

The latest version of Auto-Align, version 2.1, can be purchased for $199. It can be used on macOS 10.9 or later with a 64-bit Intel CPU or Apple Silicon, and on Windows with a 64-bit Intel or AMD CPU running Windows 10 or a higher version. The plug-in formats that are supported include AAX, Audio Unit, VST3, and ARA2.
