Sound Radix has recently released Auto-Align 2.1, a cutting-edge audio alignment tool that promises to enhance the audio production process with improved precision and productivity.

Auto-Align 2.1 enhances audio quality by eliminating the negative effects of comb-filtering and reducing transient smearing. It also optimizes the phase of each microphone to ensure a clear and full sound. This new version improves the alignment process by increasing its speed, introducing a spectral phase correction module, refining the algorithm, and providing a more user-friendly interface.

The updated Auto-Align simplifies the process of completing tasks by making it more efficient. With a simple click, Auto-Align 2.1 can align all of your microphones at once. This innovative feature not only saves you time, but also guarantees that your audio will be perfectly synchronized and in phase, leading to enhanced clarity, dimension, and stereo sound.

The Spectral Phase Optimization feature in Auto-Align 2.1 addresses phase shifts that may happen within certain frequency ranges. These phase shifts can cause the audio signal to sound less coherent and less full. When filters are used during recording, different frequency bands may encounter different phase shifts, resulting in a distorted and unclear sound. Spectral Phase Optimization detects and corrects these phase shifts automatically to ensure that your audio is perfectly aligned and sounds its best.

The updated version of the software also comes with enhancements to its main algorithm, the option to enable or disable group time alignment, the ability to optimize spectral phase on a track-by-track basis, four predetermined locations for convenient comparison of different configurations, and the functionality to export and import alignment settings to make the workflow more efficient across multiple projects.

The new version of Auto-Align, called Auto-Align 2.1, has received positive feedback from experts in the industry. Renowned producer/mixer/engineer Greg Wurth describes the impact of Auto-Align 2 on drums, bass, or guitar as extraordinary. Similarly, Darrell Thorp, a 10-time GRAMMY-winning engineer, includes Auto-Align 2 in his drum plug-in chain for every new mix or song he works on.

The latest version of Auto-Align, which is Auto-Align 2.1, can now be purchased for $199. It can be used on macOS versions starting from 10.9, as long as you have a 64-bit Intel CPU or Apple Silicon. For Windows users, it requires a 64-bit Intel or AMD CPU and Windows 10 or a newer version. The plug-in formats available for this software are AAX, Audio Unit, VST3, and ARA2.
