Sound Radix has released Auto-Align 2.1, a cutting-edge tool for audio alignment that promises to enhance the audio production process with improved precision and productivity.
Auto-Align 2.1 enhances the sound quality captured by microphones by eliminating the negative effects of comb-filtering, reducing transient smearing, and optimizing the microphone phase spectrally. The latest version improves the alignment process by making it faster, introducing a new module for spectral phase correction, refining the algorithm, and providing a more user-friendly interface.
Simplified Workflow
The updated edition of Auto-Align aims to simplify your workflow. By simply clicking once, Auto-Align 2.1 has the capability to align all your microphones in one go. This innovative feature not only saves you precious time but also guarantees that your audio is flawlessly aligned in terms of timing and phase, leading to enhanced clarity, dimension, and stereo imaging.
The Spectral Phase Optimization feature in Auto-Align 2.1 addresses phase shifts that can happen within certain frequency ranges, improving the overall quality and clarity of the audio signal. Sometimes, when filters are applied during recording, various frequency bands may encounter different phase shifts, causing the sound to become distorted and unclear. With the help of Spectral Phase Optimization, these phase shifts are identified and corrected automatically, guaranteeing that your audio is precisely aligned and delivering optimal sound.
The updated version of the software has an enhanced core algorithm, the option to enable or disable group time alignment, the ability to optimize spectral phase on a track basis, four preset locations for convenient comparison of different configurations, and the capability to export and import alignment settings to improve the workflow across various projects.
Industry professionals have already given high praise to Auto-Align 2.1. Greg Wurth, a highly acclaimed producer, mixer, and engineer, expresses his amazement at how Auto-Align 2 can greatly enhance the sound of drums, bass, or guitar. Another respected engineer, Darrell Thorp, who has won the prestigious GRAMMY award ten times, includes Auto-Align 2 in his essential drum plug-in chain for every new mix or song he works on.
Auto-Align 2.1 is currently accessible for purchase at a price of $199. It can be utilized on macOS 10.9 or later versions, as long as there is a 64-bit Intel CPU or Apple Silicon available. For Windows users, a 64-bit Intel or AMD CPU is required, along with Windows 10 or a later version. The plug-in formats supported by Auto-Align 2.1 include AAX, Audio Unit, VST3, and ARA2.
