Sound Radix has recently released Auto-Align 2.1, a cutting-edge tool for audio alignment that promises to enhance the precision and effectiveness of the audio production workflow.

Auto-Align 2.1 improves audio quality by removing comb-filtering, reducing the blurring of sound, and optimizing the phase of each microphone. This ensures that the full and clear sound captured by the microphones is delivered. The latest version also enhances the alignment process by increasing its speed, introducing a new module for spectral phase correction, refining the algorithm, and providing a more user-friendly interface.

Improved Efficiency

The updated Auto-Align software aims to make your work process more efficient. By simply clicking once, Auto-Align 2.1 can align all your microphones simultaneously. This innovative capability saves you precious time and guarantees that your audio is perfectly synchronized and aligned, leading to enhanced clarity, size, and stereo image.

The Spectral Phase Optimization feature in Auto-Align 2.1 helps fix phase shifts that may occur within certain frequency ranges. This correction leads to a more unified and immersive audio signal. Sometimes, when filters are used during recording, different frequency bands can have different phase shifts, which can result in a distorted and muddled sound. Spectral Phase Optimization identifies and rectifies these phase shifts automatically, guaranteeing that your audio is aligned perfectly and sounds its best.

The updated version of the software has an enhanced core algorithm and offers the option to turn on or off group time alignment. It also includes track-based spectral phase optimization and provides four preset locations for conveniently comparing different settings. Additionally, it allows users to export/import alignment settings, making it easier to streamline their workflow across various projects.

Industry professionals have already given high praise to Auto-Align 2.1. Greg Wurth, a producer, mixer, and engineer who has received multiple platinum awards, expresses his amazement at what Auto-Align 2 can do for drums, bass, or guitar. Similarly, Darrell Thorp, a 10-time GRAMMY-winning engineer, includes Auto-Align 2 in his drum plug-in chain for every new mix or song he works on.

You can now purchase Auto-Align 2.1 for $199. It works on macOS 10.9 or newer, as long as you have a 64-bit Intel CPU or Apple Silicon. For Windows users, you need a 64-bit Intel or AMD CPU and Windows 10 or newer. The plug-in formats available are AAX, Audio Unit, VST3, and ARA2.
