Modular synthesis offers a remarkable level of freedom and flexibility. Software platforms such as VCV Rack 2, Reaktor, and Cherry Audio's Voltage Modular have the capability to replicate the signal flow of a Eurorack setup.
When it comes to Reaktor, you have the option to directly engage in visually programming DSP. However, KarmaFX's Synth Modular 2 follows a similar approach but has its own unique design philosophy.
If you are looking to enhance your collection of virtual modular synths, you can get the KarmaFX Synth Modular 2 at a discounted price of 80% off from Audio Plugin Deals until February 5th.
I have a great fondness for the way VCV Rack works and I often use it on both Mac and Windows operating systems. However, I find KarmaFX's approach to modular synthesis quite fascinating.
The pre-set sounds are really good, although they are mostly focused on trance music and its related subgenres.
If you are in search of deep and precise bass plucks, harsh gated leads, and rich cinematic pads, this product is highly capable of producing them.
The Synth Modular 2 may take some time to understand its signal flow. However, once you become familiar with how to create sound from scratch using its modular components, there are endless possibilities and no limitations.
I have a great appreciation for the possibilities that the sequencer modules offer. Unlike the limitations of using analog modeled knobs found in a Serge or a standard sequencer, these modules provide a more visually immersive experience.
The user interface is visually appealing and easily understandable. It adjusts smoothly to fit different screen sizes, which is advantageous for users with higher resolution screens. I personally evaluated Synth Modular 2 on a 4K monitor and found it to be very efficient and capable.
I hope that the ability to resize the window is not restricted, although that is a complaint to be discussed later. However, considering the price of $39.99, I believe it is a worthwhile purchase.
Synth Modular 2 performs excellently on Windows computers. However, while experimenting with the trial version on my M1 Mac, I faced problems as it automatically switched to running on Rosetta.
However, there is a lot of content to discover in this offer. You will have the opportunity to use a synthesizer and an effects plugin, allowing you to create unique and mind-blowing combinations, but only if you are willing to invest time in it. It is recommended that you take advantage of this sale quickly, as it is not going to be available for much longer.
Take a look at this offer: Synth Modular 2 is currently discounted by 80% until February 5th, and you can purchase it for only $39.99

An extremely captivating plugin
However, the identical promotion was available on Pluginomat in the previous month.
I am curious if Karma FX has set their prices too high considering the number of sales they are currently offering.

I share the same viewpoint as Humanoid. In my opinion, the price set for it is too high considering the fact that it is often available for sale at $
I would like to inform everyone considering buying this product that you will only receive either a MacOS or a Windows version, but not both. If you initially purchase it for Mac and later decide to deactivate it and switch to using it on Windows, you won't be able to do so. This product only allows you to use it on a single operating system, which I find quite impractical since I work on different platforms.
I made the purchase two years ago. The sound quality and versatility are satisfactory, but it didn't impress me greatly. The CPU usage is moderate, which is expected for modular synths. It would be great to have different skins as options. The usability is a bit cumbersome. In my opinion, it is decent for a modular synth, but overall it is fairly average.
