For a limited time, you can purchase SubLab by Future Audio Workshop for just $10. NUSofting has recently unveiled a free beta version of their Glitch Pad Synth for Windows users. This experimental synthesizer plugin will be available for free until the end of March.
The Glitch Pad public beta is currently accessible for 64-bit Windows in both VST2 and VST3 formats.
NUSofting usually releases their plugins for both Windows and Mac operating systems. Therefore, Mac users will most likely have the opportunity to participate when the 1.0 version is released.
The origins of the plugin can be traced back to the release of the Glitch Pad SynC Modular patch in 2002, which took place several decades ago.
Luigi, the founder of NUSofting, has recently reworked the initial algorithm and created an enhanced oscillator, which has led to the development of a new VST synthesizer.
The latest edition of the software has been programmed directly in C++ and can be accessed in a preliminary beta version through the developer's website, which can be found in the provided link.
The beta version is completely operational and consists of 23 pre-set options.
Luigi has simplified the process of downloading the plugin by making it a one-click action. Users do not need to log in or provide any personal information in order to obtain the Zip file.
A video on YouTube has been released, featuring an unofficial demo of the Glitch Pad. The demo highlights a unique sound that combines elements of both retro and modern styles.
The synthesizer would be perfectly suited for genres like ambient music, experimental soundtracks, and video game music.
The preset names like echo dream, echo pendulum, foggy voices, slow choir, and washed choir give us an idea about the different styles that are suggested.
At first glance, the interface for Glitch Pad appears to have a lot of information and features to absorb.
In terms of appearance and organization, there is potential for enhancement, but considering that it's a free beta version, one can only have limited expectations.
Towards the lower part of the interface, you will find a keyboard and a preset selector. Above that, there is a graphical display showing the waveform.
According to the plugin's interface, users have a total of two months to take part in the beta testing. The beta testing period will come to an end in March 2024.
It is uncertain if the Glitch Pad will be offered as a paid product or be released as free software after the beta testing phase, as NUSofting has previously released both paid and free versions.
NUSofting is currently offering discounts on some of their synthesizers. If you enjoy the sound of their products, it would be worth exploring their other releases.
It is currently unknown if the synth will continue to be available for free once the beta period is over.

It is suggested that you mention in the title that this plugin is exclusively for Windows. Oh, you have already done that. Thank you, but unfortunately, it is already too late. The comments section is now filled with people from Apple expressing their dissatisfaction, and it has become a well-known joke within the BPB community.

There are many people who exhibit snobbish behavior towards Windows. Although I personally do not use a Mac, it is clear that those who claim to be uninterested in the topic of operating systems are often Windows users. This behavior can also be observed in the comments section.
Sorry, but
This is an amusing and interesting item. It has some good concepts, such as the functioning of the pitch envelope. It would greatly improve if it had a low-frequency oscillator (LFO) for each of the destinations, and maybe more shapes, including some unconventional ones, to enhance the randomization. Considering it is still in beta, it is possible that these improvements are already being addressed, but if not, it would be great to see them implemented.

The Glitch Pad has the ability to produce really impressive sounds! Luigi, the developer behind Nusofting, has always been underappreciated. His work is truly remarkable!

That's great! However, I have a complaint. I really miss the feature called "rewire." I feel that if it were still available, these beginner digital audio workstations (DAWs) would be much more helpful. They could easily complement the DAWs we already use. It's unbelievable that as technology advances, such a useful feature no longer exists and hasn't been adequately replaced. Sure, there are alternatives like Ableton Link or a Bluetooth plugin, but rewire allowed us to send and receive MIDI and audio directly from the DAW without any issues or latency, while keeping everything in sync.
