For a limited time, you can purchase SubLab, a software by Future Audio Workshop, for only $10. NUSofting has also launched a free beta version of their Glitch Pad synthesizer plugin for Windows, which will be available until the end of March.
The public beta version of Glitch Pad is currently accessible for 64-bit Windows in both VST2 and VST3 formats.
NUSofting usually releases their plugins for both Windows and Mac operating systems. Therefore, Mac users can expect to have access to the plugins when version 1.0 is released.
The roots of the plugin can be traced back to the year 2002 when the Glitch Pad SynC Modular patch was first introduced.
Luigi, the founder of NUSofting, has recently redeveloped the initial algorithm and created a more advanced oscillator, leading to the creation of a brand new VST synthesizer.
The latest edition of the software has been developed using C++ as its native coding language. It is currently in the early beta stage and can be accessed through the developer's website, which is provided as a link below.
The initial version of the software is operating effectively and comes with a selection of 23 pre
Luigi has simplified the process of downloading the plugin by making it a one-click action. Users do not need to log in or provide any personal information to obtain the Zip file.
A video on YouTube has been released, featuring an unofficial demonstration of the Glitch Pad. The video highlights the unique and nostalgic sound produced by this instrument.
The synthesizer would fit perfectly in genres like ambient music, experimental soundtracks, and video game music.
The preset names like echo dream, echo pendulum, foggy voices, slow choir, and washed choir give a hint about the different styles available.
At first glance, the interface for Glitch Pad appears overwhelming with a lot of information to absorb.
In terms of appearance and design, there is definitely some room for enhancement. However, considering the fact that it is a free beta version, one can only have limited expectations.
Towards the lower part of the interface, you will find a keyboard and a preset selector. Above that, you can see a graphical depiction of the waveform.
According to the plugin's interface, users will have a two-month period to take part in the beta. The beta will come to an end in March 2024.
It remains uncertain if the Glitch Pad will be offered as a paid product or released as freeware after the beta phase. NUSofting has a history of providing both paid and free versions of their products.
NUSofting is currently offering discounts on some of their synthesizers. If you enjoy the sound of these synths, it could be worth exploring their other releases.
It is currently unknown if the synth will continue to be available without cost once the beta phase concludes.

"It would be advisable to mention in the title that this plugin is exclusively compatible with Windows." Oh, you've already taken care of that. Thank you, but unfortunately, it's a bit late now. The comments section is flooded with complaints from Apple users, and it has become an established meme within the BPB community at this stage.

There is a similar level of snobbishness seen in both Windows and Mac users. Even though I don't use a Mac myself, it's clear that the majority of people who claim to be indifferent to the whole operating system debate are actually Windows users. This attitude is also prevalent in the comments section.

This small object is quite amusing. It has some interesting concepts, such as the functioning of the pitch envelope. It would greatly improve if there was a low-frequency oscillator (LFO) available for each destination, and if there were more diverse shapes, including some unusual ones, for better randomization. It is possible that these suggestions are already being addressed since it is a beta version, but just in case they are not, I thought I would mention it with a smile.

That's great! But I have a complaint to make. I really miss the feature called "rewire." I believe that if rewire was still available, all these beginner-level digital audio workstations (DAWs) would be much more valuable, as they could easily work alongside the DAWs we already use. It's unbelievable that as technology advances, such a useful feature is no longer available and hasn't been adequately replaced yet. Sure, there are alternatives like Ableton Link or a Bluetooth plugin, but rewire allowed for seamless sending and receiving of MIDI and audio directly from the DAW without any issues or delays, while keeping everything in sync.
