There is a lot to appreciate when it comes to the liberty and adaptability offered by modular synthesis. Software platforms such as VCV Rack 2, Reaktor, and Cherry Audio's Voltage Modular allow users to simulate the signal flow of a Eurorack setup.
When it comes to Reaktor, you have the ability to immediately start visually programming DSP (Digital Signal Processing). On the other hand, KarmaFX's Synth Modular 2 follows a similar approach but has its own unique design philosophy.
Until February 5th, you can get the KarmaFX Synth Modular 2 at a discounted price of 80% off from Audio Plugin Deals. This is a great opportunity to enhance your virtual modular synth collection.
I am a big fan of the VCV Rack workflow and I often use it on both Mac and Windows operating systems. However, I find KarmaFX's approach to modular synthesis to be quite fascinating.
The pre-programmed sound settings are impressive, although they are primarily focused on trance music and its related subgenres.
If you are searching for deep and powerful bass sounds, harsh and intense lead sounds, and rich and atmospheric pad sounds, it is very capable of producing them.
The Synth Modular 2 can be a bit challenging to grasp initially when it comes to understanding how its signals flow. However, once you become familiar with programming a sound from the ground up using its modular components, there are endless possibilities and no limits to what you can achieve.
I have a strong enthusiasm for the possibilities offered by sequencer modules. Unlike the limited analog modeled knobs found on a Serge or a typical sequencer, these modules provide a visually immersive experience.
The user interface is user-friendly and visually appealing. It adapts well to different screen sizes, making it advantageous for those using high-resolution displays. I personally assessed the performance of Synth Modular 2 on a 4K monitor and was impressed by its smooth operation.
I hope that the window can be resized without any restrictions, but that complaint can be addressed later. However, considering the price of $39.99, I believe it is a worthwhile investment.
The Synth Modular 2 software works smoothly on computers running Windows. However, I faced some problems while experimenting with the trial version on my M1 Mac, as it automatically switched to using Rosetta.
However, there are many things to discover and try out in this product. With access to both a synthesizer and effects plugin, you have the opportunity to create unique and mind-blowing combinations if you're willing to invest the effort. It is recommended to obtain it as soon as possible as this sale will not be available for long.
Take a look at this offer: Synth Modular 2 is currently discounted by 80% until February 5th, and is available for only $39.99.

This plugin is truly fascinating.
However, the identical promotion was available on Pluginomat in the previous month.
I am curious if Karma FX has set their prices too high considering the frequency of their sales.

I share the same opinion as Humanoid. I think the price set for it is too high, especially considering that it is often available for purchase at a discounted price
I want to alert anyone who plans on buying this product that you will only receive either a MacOS or a Windows version, not both. If you initially purchase it for Mac and later want to switch to Windows, you won't be able to do so because it is licensed for only one operating system. In my opinion, this limitation is quite unwise as I frequently work on multiple platforms.
I made the purchase two years ago. The sound quality and versatility are satisfactory, but it did not impress me greatly. The CPU usage is moderate, which is expected for modular synthesizers. It would be great to have different visual options for it. The user interface is a bit cumbersome. I would classify it as decent for a modular synth, but overall, it is fairly average in my opinion.
