Save 95% on Universal Audio's Electronic Music Bundle with this exclusive offer. For a limited time, get a massive 80% discount on KarmaFX Synth Modular 2, the virtual instrument, available at Audio Plugin Deals.
Modular synthesis offers a great deal of freedom and flexibility. Platforms such as VCV Rack 2, Reaktor, and Cherry Audio's Voltage Modular have the ability to replicate the signal flow of a Eurorack setup.
With Reaktor, you have the ability to directly engage in visually programming digital signal processing (DSP). On the other hand, KarmaFX's Synth Modular 2 follows a comparable approach but possesses its own unique design philosophy.
If you are interested in expanding your virtual modular synth collection, you can get the KarmaFX Synth Modular 2 at a discounted price of 80% off through Audio Plugin Deals until February 5th.
I am a big fan of the VCV Rack's way of working and I often use it on both Mac and Windows operating systems. However, I find KarmaFX's approach to modular synthesis quite fascinating.
The pre-programmed settings have an impressive sound, although they are mainly focused on trance music and its related subgenres.
If you're in search of deep and punchy bass sounds, intense and harsh lead sounds with a gated effect, and rich and atmospheric pads commonly heard in movies, it can effortlessly produce these types of sounds.
The Synth Modular 2 can be a bit challenging to understand its signal flow at first. However, once you become familiar with programming a sound from the ground up using its modular components, there are endless possibilities and no limits to what you can create.
I have a strong affinity for the possibilities that the sequencer modules offer. Unlike the traditional sequencers like Serge, which rely on analog modeled knobs, these modules offer a more visually immersive experience.
The user interface is well-designed and easily understandable. It adapts smoothly to different screen sizes, which is advantageous for users with higher resolutions. I personally tried Synth Modular 2 on a 4K monitor and was impressed with its excellent performance and compatibility.
I hope that the ability to resize the window would be available without any restrictions, but I will discuss this concern at another time. However, in my opinion, considering its price of $39.99, I believe it is a worthwhile purchase.
Synth Modular 2 functions smoothly on Windows computers. However, when I experimented with the trial version on my M1 Mac, I faced problems as it automatically switched to Rosetta.
However, there are many things to discover and experiment with in this offer. By having access to both a synthesizer and an effects plugin, you have the opportunity to create unique and mind-blowing combinations, but only if you are willing to invest the necessary time. It is highly recommended to take advantage of this sale as it will not be available for much longer.
Take a look at this offer: Synth Modular 2 is currently on sale for 80% off until February 5th, priced at $39.99.

An extremely captivating plugin.
However, the identical offer was available on Pluginomat in the previous month.
I am curious if Karma FX has set the price too high, considering the frequency of their sales.

I share the same opinion as Humanoid. In my view, the price set for it is excessively high, especially considering the fact that it is often available for purchase
I would like to caution anyone considering purchasing this product. When you make a purchase, you will only receive either a MacOS or a Windows version, not both. If you initially buy it for Mac but later decide to deactivate it and use it on Windows, you won't be able to do so. The license only covers one operating system. Personally, I find this decision quite foolish since I frequently work on different platforms.
I made the purchase two years back. The sound quality and versatility are satisfactory, but it didn't impress me greatly. The CPU usage is moderate, which is expected for modular synths. It would be nice to have some different skins for it. The user interface is somewhat clumsy. I would consider it decent for a modular synth, but overall, it's fairly average in my opinion.
