Midi Maker is a music generator tool that operates based on random elements, allowing users to create new music effortlessly and efficiently. This tool is available for free and provides a convenient way to generate music.
There are various approaches to begin a new musical piece, such as starting with the main tune, a chord progression, a particular rhythm, and more. To assist in this process, Midi Maker is a complimentary tool designed to facilitate the quick and effortless creation of new music.
The way you begin something has a significant impact on how everything that follows will unfold. For instance, the arrangement and organization will shape the melody, while the rhythm can shape the delivery of the lyrics, and vice versa.
Certain musicians believe that there is a superior method, but ultimately, the most effective approach is the one that suits you. Personally, I have always refrained from fixating on a specific approach and instead allowed things to unfold naturally. This includes being flexible with the genre of my personal projects.
The advantage is having the ability to be more creative, but the disadvantage is that having too much freedom often results in experiencing creative block (similar to when I spend excessive time searching for movies on Netflix instead of actually watching them) or lower productivity compared to using a more organized approach.
There are situations where absolute freedom is not possible because there are already established guidelines that need to be adhered to. In such cases, a tool like Midi Maker can be extremely beneficial.
Midi Maker is a tool that creates fresh music by combining various polysynths, drum machines, and chord patterns based on the preferences specified by the user. This generator provides the option to choose the fundamental aspects of the song such as genre, structure, tempo, and key, and also allows for customization of more intricate settings.
After acquiring the basic knowledge, you have the freedom to decide the number of chords, melodies, and other musical elements you want to include. If you have several chords, you can categorize the harmonic development into Static, Sectional, or Progressive. Additionally, you have the option to modify the number of variations within each section.
After you have prepared yourself to create music, Midi Maker guides you to the following page. On this page, you will have the opportunity to listen to a preview of your creation and make any necessary changes to the polysynths (melodies, bass, and chords), drum machine, and chord patterns.
Every component provides different options and settings that can be adjusted, including Envelopes, Density, Timing, and Velocities. You have the ability to make modifications in real-time and listen to the updated outcome within a few seconds.
Although there are numerous settings available for customization, the generation process relies solely on randomness rather than AI and machine learning in the specific context of your chosen settings. The advantage of this approach is that it ensures you will always receive something distinct and less predictable.
Once you are satisfied with the outcome, you have the option to download the MIDI file and import it into your digital audio workstation or software for further refinement and enhancement.
There are two versions of Midi Maker available. The Free version allows you to download one item per month and only supports 4/4 time. On the other hand, the Premium version costs £19.50 per month and offers unlimited downloads. It also supports any time signature and includes the feature of
By registering at this moment, you have the opportunity to avail a discount of 50% for the initial three months. Any support that aids in initiating an idea is valuable, particularly for individuals who regularly generate a substantial amount of content.
I thoroughly enjoyed using Midi Maker and was pleasantly surprised by its capabilities. This unique tool greatly enhances the creative process and I believe it will continue to improve and expand in the future.
My main worry is that the Premium version will have a tough time convincing users to spend their money on it instead of other options, considering that prices are generally high for everything. However, only time will reveal the outcome.
For those who use Windows and haven't yet tried the latest freebie called epicCLOUDS from Variety of Sound, I highly recommend giving it a go!
It is already past the appropriate time to greet someone with "Happy New Year" without being ridiculed, but as this is my initial post of the year 2024, I would like to extend my well wishes to everyone and express my delight in returning.
Take a look at this offer: Midi Maker offers a free version as well as a premium version which costs £19.50 per month.

Hello, you are greatly appreciated. I express my gratitude for taking the time to read BPB! 🙂

I agree with the sentiment that these developers often believe that their ideas are incredibly valuable and unique. However, in reality, larger companies are quick to copy these ideas and incorporate them into their own products. This has been a common occurrence in the past year. While I wish these developers the best of luck, it's important for them to have a realistic understanding of the situation. After all, it's not like they are putting in any additional effort beyond compiling their ideas.

Contrary to the negative individuals in the comments, I found the capabilities of MidiMaker to be quite impressive. If I were someone who frequently purchases MIDI packs, MidiMaker would be a more suitable option for me.
However, requesting $20 per month is a significant demand for a specialized product like this and I personally prefer to create my own melodies and rhythms, as otherwise I feel like I am being dishonest. Midimaker does not align well with my usual work process and financial situation, making it difficult for me to justify subscribing. Moreover, I have a strong dislike for subscription-based models and I am certain that my opinion on this matter will never alter.
I must confess that if the product had a one-time payment that was reasonably priced, I would consider it for those occasions when I am feeling creatively stuck and in need of inspiration. Additionally, it could be appealing if I am feeling bored and want to experiment with my Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) for a few hours.
It would be great if the developer could reconsider the pricing and consider offering a different payment model, such as a subscription option. Regardless, I wish the developer success because their product is of high quality.

I believe that inspiration can come from anything, and I don't judge where it comes from. It could be the sound of rain, a MIDI pack in a genre you're not familiar with, or a generative piece of code. Whatever makes you feel inspired. Or should I say, whatever makes your cat meow? Anyway, I don't want to criticize something that clearly requires effort. Personally, I have found great help in using CodeFN42's RandARP or Transition to generate random ideas. They are fantastic tools. As for the subscription model, I understand that some people may be accustomed to it, but I just can't get on board. 🙂 I hope the developer finds their audience. Maybe adding a third pricing option in the middle (with full capabilities but limited usage, for example, once per day) could attract more users and help them determine if they really need it. The competition is tough. :/

To clarify, Orb plugins, Captain plugins, Harvest, and various other tools all offer similar capabilities. This includes Atlas, XO, and more. Unfortunately, subscriptions for these types of tools are not ideal.

I believe I already mentioned this before, but it's possible that my comment didn't get posted. There are various tools available such as Atlas, Captain Epic, XO, Harvest, Phrasebox, and Orb Plugins that offer similar functionality without the need for a subscription. It may seem interesting, but I personally won't invest my time in something that I can simply purchase at a similar price.

Starting a new song can be challenging, particularly when you're not feeling creative. Midi Maker appears to be a useful tool that provides numerous creative possibilities right at your fingertips, or within your digital audio workstation (DAW). I plan on using this software for a few upcoming projects to assess its capabilities. This article has inspired me to explore music production using Midi Maker.
James, I'm interested to know how many projects you are embarking on.
