Discover AutoBeat: An AI-Powered Drum Sequencer Plugin for Windows and macOS

Universal Audio is offering a massive discount of 95% on their Electronic Music Bundle. Additionally, Autobeat, an AI-driven drum sequencer plugin, is now available for free. Axart Software has recently launched AutoBeat, a drum sequencer plugin that can be used on both Windows and macOS platforms. While a paid version is also offered, users have

Artificial intelligence (AI) is currently gaining a lot of popularity. We have previously discussed the existence of AI music generators that are available for free, but now AI is also being utilized for MIDI generation, audio editing, and various other purposes.

I have previous knowledge of Axart Software and their impressive mKer sequencer suite designed for the iPad. However, it was unexpected to discover that they also offer an AI-powered drum sequencer for both Windows and Mac operating systems.

AutoBeat does offer a paid option, but there is still a lot to discover and explore with the free version. Therefore, let's delve further and examine it more closely.

Autobeat offers a variety of genres that can be used to create drum beats. Users have the option to choose from 8 different genres, including popular electronic genres such as house, techno, and DnB.

Additionally, there are a total of 12 tracks available for use, which should suffice for the majority of MIDI-based drum machines that operate on both Windows and Mac systems. Personally, I found it useful to utilize Autobeat in conjunction with Atlas, a product developed by Algonaut.

Since I was already using AI, I thought it would be best to take full advantage of its capabilities and aim for the highest level of success!

You have the ability to choose the thickness, size, and strength of every design. The randomization feature also adds a touch of organized disorder to the combination.

In my experience, I discovered that setting it to approximately 25% yielded the optimal results. If I set it higher, things tended to become abstract too rapidly.

With Autobeat's paid version, you have the ability to export MIDI to the drum machine plugin you prefer. If you are comfortable with directing MIDI, then you're in for an enjoyable experience.

One aspect I appreciate is the ability to customize and arrange things according to my own workflow. The user interface is intuitive and easy to understand, and there are separate controls for muting and soloing each of the 12 tracks. Moreover, you have the option to save multiple patterns, with a total of 128 patterns that can be stored across 8 prompts.

If you're struggling with finding inspiration for percussive elements, Autobeat is a great option to consider. However, you may need to make some adjustments to specifically focus on the elements of your Atlas kits that you want to work on.

Once I had figured it out, I quickly got started and made great progress!

Autobeat can be used on both Windows and Mac computers. It has been specifically optimized for Apple Silicon, which is great news for users.

Get AutoBeat now! You can choose between the free version or the paid version

When utilizing it in Ableton, the software creates MIDI data but does not produce any sound. Therefore, you need to run it in a specific channel and direct the MIDI data into a different channel that contains a drum kit or virtual instrument.

I am experiencing a problem where FL Studio crashes immediately after I click on any button.

This is rubbish. There is no artificial intelligence involved here, just a collection of patterns.

I tested it out using Ableton Live 11 on a Windows 10 Dell G5s Ryzen 17 with 16Gb of RAM. I installed and loaded a VST plugin in a MIDI channel, as well as a Live Impulse drum app. I followed a video tutorial and discovered that I needed to route the MIDI channel to connect with the drum VST. I linked everything and pressed play, but there was no sound. I tried again with a different app, hoping to assign the MIDI notes to the loaded samples, but still had no success. In the end, I uninstalled the apps. I found it quicker to manually load the vst3 and dll Speedrum Lite, load it into Live, and manually create my own drum notes for a "random" pattern.

Unfortunately, the Axart website is no longer accessible, which raises some suspicions.
