Midi Maker is a music generator tool that operates on randomness and is available for free. It assists users in effortlessly and swiftly creating fresh music.
There are various methods for beginning a new piece of music, such as starting with the main tune, a series of chords, a specific beat pattern, and so on. To assist with this process, Midi Maker is a complimentary tool that facilitates the quick and effortless creation of fresh music.
The manner in which you begin something has a significant impact on how the rest of it will unfold. This can be observed in various aspects, such as how harmony and structure shape the melody, how rhythm influences the phrasing, and how the relationship between these elements can also work in reverse.
Many musicians believe that there is a superior method, but ultimately, the approach that works for you is the best one. Personally, I have always avoided fixating on a specific approach and have allowed things to unfold naturally. This even applies to personal projects, where I am not overly concerned with sticking strictly to a particular genre.
On one hand, having more creative freedom can be beneficial as it allows individuals to explore their ideas without limitations. However, on the other hand, excessive freedom can sometimes result in creative block, similar to when a person spends more time searching for movies on Netflix rather than actually watching them. Additionally, it can also lead to decreased productivity when compared to following
There are situations where total freedom is not possible due to existing rules and regulations, and a tool like Midi Maker can be extremely beneficial in such cases.
Midi Maker is a tool that creates music by combining polysynths, drum machines, and chord patterns based on the preferences set by the user. It gives you the option to choose the fundamental aspects of your song such as genre, structure, tempo, and key, and then provides additional customization options.
After you have mastered the basics, you have the freedom to decide on the number of chords, melodies, and other elements you want to incorporate. If you have multiple chords, you have the option to classify the harmonic progression as Static, Sectional, or Progressive. Additionally, you can modify the number of variations within each section.
When you are prepared to create music, Midi Maker will guide you to the next page. On this page, you will have the opportunity to listen to a preview of your creation and make adjustments to the polysynths, drum machine, and chord patterns, which include melodies, bass, and chords.
Every component provides different options and settings to adjust, like Envelopes, Density, Timing, and Velocities. You have the ability to make modifications instantly and listen to the updated outcomes in a matter of seconds.
Even though there are numerous settings available for customization, the process of generating content is solely dependent on randomness rather than artificial intelligence and machine learning. The advantage of this randomness is that it ensures that every generated outcome is distinct and avoids being too predictable or generic.
Once you are satisfied with your outcomes, you have the option to download the MIDI file and import it into your digital audio workstation (DAW) or software to continue working on it.
There are two versions of Midi Maker available. The Free version allows for one download per month and is limited to 4/4 time. On the other hand, the Premium version costs £19.50 per month and offers unlimited downloads. It also allows for any time signature and includes the feature of
By registering at this moment, you have the opportunity to avail a 50% discount for the initial three months. Anything that aids in initiating a concept is highly beneficial, particularly for individuals who constantly require generating a substantial amount of content.
I thoroughly enjoyed using Midi Maker and was pleasantly surprised by its capabilities. It proved to be a fascinating tool that sparked my creativity, and I believe it will continue to grow and improve in the future.
My main worry is that the Premium version will struggle to convince users to spend their money on it instead of other options, especially considering the high prices in general. However, only time will reveal the outcome.
If you are someone who uses Windows and hasn't yet explored the newest offering from Variety of Sound called epicCLOUDS, I highly recommend giving it a try!
It is now too late to wish someone a Happy New Year without being met with laughter, but as this is my initial post of the year 2024, I would like to extend my well wishes to everyone and express my happiness in returning.
Take a look at this offer: Midi Maker offers both a free version and a premium version for £19.50 per month.

I agree with the sentiment expressed here – sometimes developers believe that their ideas are incredibly valuable and unique, when in reality, larger companies are likely to copy and incorporate those ideas into their own products. This has happened multiple times in the past year. While I wish them luck, it's important for these developers to be realistic about the situation. After all, they're not putting in any additional effort beyond compiling the elements together.

In contrast to the negative individuals in the comment section, I found myself quite impressed with its capabilities. If I were someone who frequently purchases MIDI packs, MidiMaker would be a more favorable option.
However, requesting a payment of $20 per month for a specialized product like this is quite a lot, and personally, I would rather create my own melodies and rhythms because it feels like I am taking shortcuts otherwise. Midimaker does not align well with my usual work process and financial situation, making it difficult for me to justify subscribing. Additionally, I strongly dislike subscription models and can confidently say that my opinion on this matter will never change.
I must confess that if the product had a single payment that was reasonably priced, I would consider using it during times when I am feeling creatively stuck and in need of some inspiration. Additionally, it could be useful when I am feeling bored and want to spend a couple of hours experimenting with my Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).
I think it would be beneficial if the developer considers modifying the pricing structure and incorporating a different subscription model, or at the very least provides an alternative option. Nonetheless, I genuinely wish him success as he has created a commendable product.

I believe that inspiration can be found in anything and I don't judge where it comes from. It could be the sound of rain, a MIDI pack in a genre you're not familiar with, or even a generative piece of code. It doesn't matter what it is, as long as it works for you. Instead of saying "whatever floats your boat," I could say "whatever makes your cat meow." Anyway, I don't want to criticize something that clearly requires a certain amount of effort. Personally, I've used CodeFN42's RandARP and Transition too many times to ignore the appeal of limited randomization as a main source of inspiration. These tools are incredibly helpful. As for the subscription model, I understand that some people become accustomed to it, but I can't even comprehend it. 🙂 I hope the developer finds their audience. Maybe adding a middle pricing option (with full capabilities but limited usage, like one per day) would attract more users and help them determine if they truly need it. The competition is intense. :/

Various plugins like Orb, Captain, and Harvest, among others, offer similar features. Additionally, there are other tools such as Atlas and XO that provide similar functionalities. However, the subscription model for these types of tools is not ideal.

I believe I mentioned this before, but it's possible that my previous comment did not get posted. There are several software tools available such as Atlas, Captain Epic, XO, Harvest, Phrasebox, and Orb Plugins that offer similar features without requiring a subscription. It seems like a poor decision to choose a subscription-based option. While it might be interesting, I personally won't spend my time on something that I can simply purchase outright for a similar price.

Beginning a new song can be challenging, particularly when lacking inspiration or creativity. Midi Maker appears to be a promising tool that can provide a wealth of creative possibilities for music production in digital audio workstations (DAW). I plan to utilize this software for upcoming projects to assess its capabilities. This article has inspired me to explore music creation through Midi Maker.
James, I'm interested to know how many projects you're beginning with.
