Midi Maker is a music generating tool that is completely free and operates on the concept of randomness. It allows users to easily and swiftly create original music.
When beginning a new composition, there are various approaches you can take such as starting with the melody, a series of harmonies, a particular rhythm, and more. Midi Maker is a valuable resource that assists in this process by providing a free and user-friendly tool for creating music swiftly.
The way you begin something has a significant impact on how it will unfold. For instance, the balance and organization of elements will shape the melody, and the rhythm can influence the way phrases are formed, and vice versa.
Many musicians believe that there is a specific method that is superior, but in the end, the most important thing is to do what works for you. Personally, I have always avoided sticking to a specific approach and allowed things to happen naturally, even when it comes to my personal projects, without being too confined by a specific genre.
On one hand, having more creative freedom is beneficial as it allows for greater expression. However, the drawback is that excessive freedom can often result in creative block, similar to when we spend more time searching for movies on Netflix rather than actually watching them. Additionally, it can lead to reduced productivity when compared to a more organized and structured approach.
There are situations where complete freedom is not possible due to existing guidelines that need to be adhered to. In such cases, Midi Maker can be an extremely valuable tool.
Midi Maker is a tool that creates new music by utilizing polysynths, drum machines, and chord patterns based on specific preferences set by the user. With this generator, users can choose the fundamental elements of their song such as genre, structure, tempo, and key, while also having the option to adjust more advanced settings.
After grasping the basics, you have the freedom to decide the number of chords, melodies, and other elements you want to incorporate. When using multiple chords, you have the option to categorize the harmonic development as Static, Sectional, or Progressive. Additionally, you can modify the number of variations within each section to suit your preferences.
After you have prepared yourself to create music, Midi Maker will lead you to the following page. On this page, you will be able to listen to a preview of your creation and make any necessary changes to the melodies, bass, chords, drum machine, and chord patterns.
Every component has different options and settings that can be adjusted, such as Envelopes, Density, Timing, and Velocities. These adjustments can be made in real-time, and you can immediately hear the updated outcome when playing it back.
Even though there are numerous settings available, the process of generation relies solely on randomness instead of AI and machine learning. The advantage of randomness is that it guarantees uniqueness and avoids producing something ordinary or generic.
Once you are satisfied with the outcomes, you have the option to download the MIDI file and import it into your digital audio workstation or software to continue working on it.
There are two versions of Midi Maker available. The Free version allows users to download one time per month and only supports 4/4 time signature. On the other hand, the Premium version costs £19.50 per month and offers unlimited downloads. It also supports any time signature and includes the feature
By registering at this moment, you have the opportunity to enjoy a 50% discount on your initial three months. Any assistance that facilitates initiating a concept is highly valuable, particularly for individuals who regularly require generating a substantial amount of content.
I thoroughly enjoyed using Midi Maker, and to be honest, it exceeded my expectations. It provides a fascinating method to ignite one's creative ideas, and I believe it will continue to grow and improve in the future.
I have a slight worry that the Premium version might struggle to persuade users to spend their money on it instead of other options, considering that prices are generally high. However, only time will reveal how successful it will be in the face of this competition.
If you use Windows and haven't tried out epicCLOUDS, the latest free offering from Variety of Sound, you should definitely give it a go!
It's already too late to greet someone with a Happy New Year without receiving laughter, but as this is my initial post of 2024, I would like to extend my well wishes to everyone and express my happiness at being back.
Take a look at this offer: Midi Maker is available in a free version or a premium version that costs £19.50 per month.

I agree with this statement. Sometimes developers have a great idea and believe it is incredibly valuable, or that larger companies won't copy it and incorporate it into their own products. We have witnessed this happen multiple times in the past year. I wish them good luck, but they need to be more realistic. It's not as if they are putting in any effort after putting the components together.

Contrary to the negative comments, I found the capabilities of MidiMaker quite impressive. If I frequently purchase MIDI packs, MidiMaker would be a more suitable choice for me.
However, requesting $20 per month for a specialized product like this seems excessive to me, and I would rather create my own melodies and rhythms to avoid feeling like I am taking shortcuts. Midimaker does not align well with my usual way of working and my financial situation, so I cannot justify subscribing to it. Additionally, I strongly dislike subscription models and can confidently say that my aversion to them will not change.
I must confess that if the product had a one-time payment that was reasonably priced, I can envision myself contemplating it during moments when I am facing creative obstacles and seeking inspiration, or when I feel bored and desire to experiment with my digital audio workstation (DAW) for a few hours.
I believe it would be beneficial for the developer to reconsider the pricing and potentially introduce a different subscription model, or provide an alternative option. Nonetheless, I sincerely wish the developer success as they have created a great product.

Inspiration can be derived from various sources, and I don't judge where it comes from. It could be the sound of rain, exploring a new genre through a MIDI pack, or even a piece of generative code. Whatever sparks your interest. Or maybe I should say whatever gets your cat's attention? Anyway, I don't want to criticize something that clearly involves effort. Personally, I have often relied on CodeFN42's RandARP or Transition as they provide a great way to generate random ideas within certain boundaries. These tools are truly helpful. As for the subscription model, I understand that some people become accustomed to it, but I find it difficult to accept. 🙂 I hope the developer finds their audience. Maybe introducing a third pricing option (offering full capabilities but with a limit of one use per day, for example) could attract more users and help them determine if they truly need it. The competition in this field is intense. :/

There are various plugins like Orb, Captain, and Harvest that are capable of performing this task. Additionally, there are several other plugins such as Atlas and XO that offer similar functionalities. However, the issue with these types of tools is that they require subscriptions, which can be frustrating.

I believe I already mentioned this, but it's possible that my previous comment didn't get posted. There are various plugins available such as Atlas, Captain Epic, XO, Harvest, Phrasebox, Orb Plugins, etc. that offer similar functionality without requiring a subscription. It seems like a poor decision to implement a subscription model. While it may have some interesting features, I personally wouldn't invest my time in something that I can simply purchase for a similar price.

At times, it can be challenging to begin a new song, particularly when lacking the creative mindset. Midi Maker appears to be a useful tool that facilitates an abundance of creative possibilities within your reach, or digital audio workstation (DAW). I intend to utilize this software for a few upcoming projects to assess its true capabilities. This article has sparked my inspiration to create music using Midi Maker.
Hey James, I'm wondering, how many projects are you going to begin with?
