Unlock Your Creativity with Midi Maker: A Review of Universal Audio’s Electronic Music Bundle

  • by

Save 95% on Universal Audio's Electronic Music Bundle, a collection of software and plugins for creating electronic music. Midi Maker is a music generator tool that is completely free and works by generating random musical elements to aid in the creation of new music. With Midi Maker, you can effortlessly and efficiently create original music.

There are multiple methods to begin a fresh musical composition, such as initiating it with a catchy tune, a particular sequence of chords, a distinct rhythm, and so on. To assist in this process, Midi Maker is a complimentary tool that aids in the swift and effortless creation of new music.

The beginning of a process can greatly impact and shape everything that follows. In the context of music, elements like harmony and structure have the ability to influence the development of melody, while rhythm can also dictate the way phrases are formed, and this influence can work in the opposite direction as well.

Many musicians believe that there is a specific method that is superior, but ultimately, whatever method suits you is the best. Personally, I have always avoided fixating on a particular method and instead allowed things to unfold naturally. This even extends to personal projects, where I am not too rigid about sticking to a specific genre.

The advantage is having more freedom to be creative, however, the disadvantage is that excessive freedom can often result in a creative block (similar to when I spend more time searching for movies on Netflix instead of actually watching them) or decreased productivity when compared to a more organized approach.

Sometimes, we are not able to have complete freedom due to existing guidelines that we must adhere to. In these situations, a tool such as Midi Maker can provide significant assistance.

Midi Maker is a tool that creates new music by combining polysynths, drum machines, and chord patterns based on specific user preferences. Users can choose various elements of their song, such as genre, structure, tempo, and key, and then adjust more advanced settings to further customize the generated music.

After grasping the basics, you are free to decide the quantity of chords, melodies, and other musical elements you desire. In the case of having multiple chords, you have the option to categorize the harmonic progression as Static, Sectional, or Progressive. Additionally, you have the ability to modify the number of variations within each section.

After you have prepared to create music, Midi Maker will direct you to the following page. On this page, you will be able to listen to a preview of the music you have generated and make changes to the polysynths (such as melodies, bass, and chords), drum machine, and chord patterns.

Every component has different options and settings that can be adjusted, like Envelopes, Density, Timing, and Velocities. You have the ability to make modifications in real-time and quickly listen to the updated outcomes while playing back the content.

Although there are numerous settings available for customization, the process of generation primarily relies on randomness within the given settings rather than utilizing AI and machine learning. The advantage of incorporating randomness is that it ensures that each generated outcome is one-of-a-kind and less mundane.

Once you are satisfied with the outcome, you have the option to download the MIDI file and import it into your digital audio workstation or software to continue working on it.

There are two versions of Midi Maker available: Free version, which allows for one download per month and is limited to 4/4 time signature, and Premium version, which costs £19.50 per month and offers unlimited downloads, any time signature, and the ability to create motifs.

By joining today, you have the opportunity to receive a 50% discount on your initial three months. This offer is particularly beneficial for individuals who frequently need to generate a substantial amount of content, as anything that aids in initiating ideas is highly valuable.

I thoroughly enjoyed using Midi Maker and to my surprise, it exceeded my expectations. It serves as a fascinating tool to ignite the creative process, and I believe it will continue to grow and improve in the future.

My main worry is that the Premium version might struggle to persuade users to spend their money on it instead of other options, considering that prices are generally high for similar products. However, only time will reveal how successful it will be in attracting customers.

If you use a Windows operating system and haven't yet tried epicCLOUDS, the latest free product from Variety of Sound, I highly recommend you give it a go!

It's already past the appropriate time to greet someone with a Happy New Year message without being mocked. However, as this is my initial post for the year 2024, I would like to express my well wishes to everyone and mention how great it feels to be back.

Take a look at this offer: Midi Maker is available in two versions – a free version and a premium version that costs £19.50 per month.

However, I would like to express my gratitude to the person who created this blog. It has provided me with a wealth of valuable and educational information. Although this is my first time contributing, I have been an avid reader for several years. Thank you so much for everything!

Hello, you're greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read BPB! 🙂

I must agree with the perspective that these developers often believe their ideas are incredibly valuable and unique, as if the established companies wouldn't replicate them and incorporate them into their own products. This trend has been observed numerous times in the past year. While I wish them luck, they should also be practical and acknowledge that they haven't put in any effort beyond compiling these ideas.

Contrary to the negative comments, I found the capabilities of MidiMaker quite impressive. If I frequently purchased MIDI packs, I would consider MidiMaker as a preferable option.

However, requesting $20 per month for a specialized product like this is quite a significant demand. Personally, I find it more satisfying to create my own melodies and rhythms rather than using pre-made ones, as it feels like I'm taking shortcuts. The Midimaker software is not compatible with my usual workflow and it is not financially feasible for me to subscribe to it. Additionally, I strongly dislike subscription-based models and I am certain that my opinion on this matter will never alter.

I must confess that I would contemplate purchasing the product if it had a single, affordable payment. I would consider it during those moments when I feel creatively stuck and require some inspiration, or when I am feeling bored and want to experiment in my digital audio workstation for a few hours.

I believe it would be beneficial if the developer considers altering the pricing structure and incorporating a subscription model, or at the very least provides an alternative option. Regardless of the decision, I genuinely wish the developer success as they have created a valuable product.

I believe that inspiration can come from anything, and I don't judge where it comes from. It could be the sound of rain, exploring a new genre through a MIDI pack, or even a generative piece of code. Whatever makes you feel inspired. I guess you could say whatever makes your cat meow. Anyway, I don't want to dismiss the value of the work that comes from these sources of inspiration. Personally, I have found CodeFN42's RandARP and Transition to be incredibly helpful tools in providing constrained randomization as a source of inspiration. They are brilliant resources. As for the subscription model, I understand that some people may prefer it, but I personally have reservations about it. I hope the developer is able to find their target audience. Maybe adding a middle pricing option (with full capabilities but limited usage per day) could attract more users and help them determine if they truly need it. The competition is tough.

There are various plugins like Orb, Captain, and Harvest that offer this functionality, along with many other similar ones such as Atlas and XO. However, the subscription model for these types of tools is not ideal.

I believe I already mentioned this earlier, but it's possible that my comment wasn't successfully posted. There are various software tools available such as Atlas, Captain Epic, XO, Harvest, Phrasebox, and Orb Plugins that offer similar functionalities without requiring a subscription. It's not a wise decision to opt for a subscription-based service in this case. It might seem interesting, but I personally wouldn't spend my time on something I can simply purchase for a similar price.

Beginning a new song can be challenging, particularly when lacking inspiration. Midi Maker appears to be a useful tool that effortlessly generates a multitude of creative possibilities directly into your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). I am planning on using this software for a few upcoming projects to test its true capabilities. This article is motivating me to explore music production through Midi Maker.

Hey James, I'm wondering, what's the number of projects you're beginning right now?
